Chinese Restaurants in Greater ManchesterThe New Emperor - A well established Chinese Restaurant on two floors in Chinatown!
Happy Seasons - is not your classic Chinese restaurant in the vein of the Yang Sing above, where the whole family sits around a big table and shares all the food.
Glamourous - A BIG Chinese Restaurant!
Yang Sing - Pronounced Yung Sing, is probably the best known and biggest Chinese restaurant in Manchester. Not least after featuring in the documentary series The Yung Ones which depicted their efforts to rebuild the restaurant after a big fire a few years ago. Back, to the present though, it offers a great selection of dishes to suit most appetites (except those who just do not like Chinese food of any kind). For kids it is a great place full of wonderful sights and smells although there are a few steps to negotiate at the front door of the restaurant if you have a pushchair.

French Restaurants in Greater ManchesterCafe Rouge - is on Deansgate in a row of eateries, which I presume is largely aimed at the lunchtime business and evening drinking crown. Therefore as in many such areas around the country you will find both good and bad places to eat side to side. Although the Cafe Rouge is not the finest place for a meal in Manchester, it does have it's points and a kind of atmosphere is a large French Cafe.

Indian Restaurants in Greater ManchesterMughli - is our favourite restaurant in Rusholme and one which prior to the arrival of the kids we visited on a very regular basis. Unfortunately, given the distance from Runcorn and the difficulty in parking on the area, we've let the number of visits slip over time. This said, as out kids are now getting a bit older, we're definitely intending for a return to the Rusholme scene and we'll definitely make the Mughli our first port of call.
