Family Friendly Manchester Restaurant Reviews, Plus Review of Pubs, Cafes, Takeaways and Delis in Manchester Greater Manchester

Where to eat with kids in Manchester, Greater Manchester!

Manchester, although the biggest city in North West England, can seem quite sparse when you are looking for a nice place to eat. OK there are plenty of burger outfits and the like, but for good food it can often seem like you end up walking miles before getting anying like decent. Either places are rubbish or are targetting really towards the evening or business crowd, with very few decent offers or thought put in at a family friendly level.

However, we have managed on our trips to the city to find a number of decent places where you can eat good food with your kids without breaking the bank. Just click on the name to see full review details...

Chinese Restaurants in Manchester

The New Emperor - A well established Chinese Restaurant on two floors in Chinatown!

Happy Seasons - is not your classic Chinese restaurant in the vein of the Yang Sing above, where the whole family sits around a big table and shares all the food.

Glamourous - A BIG Chinese Restaurant!

Yang Sing - Pronounced Yung Sing, is probably the best known and biggest Chinese restaurant in Manchester. Not least after featuring in the documentary series The Yung Ones which depicted their efforts to rebuild the restaurant after a big fire a few years ago. Back, to the present though, it offers a great selection of dishes to suit most appetites (except those who just do not like Chinese food of any kind). For kids it is a great place full of wonderful sights and smells although there are a few steps to negotiate at the front door of the restaurant if you have a pushchair.

French Restaurants in Manchester

Cafe Rouge - is on Deansgate in a row of eateries, which I presume is largely aimed at the lunchtime business and evening drinking crown. Therefore as in many such areas around the country you will find both good and bad places to eat side to side. Although the Cafe Rouge is not the finest place for a meal in Manchester, it does have it's points and a kind of atmosphere is a large French Cafe.

Wagamama - Oodles of Noodles in Manchester!
